When can I download Dinged?
Not yet. Dinged is an iPhone app being built and tested by a student team, and it isn’t on the App Store. Email us if you’d like a note when it launches.
Does Dinged decide what counts as damage?
No. It flags what changed between your two scans and measures it. You sort each finding as new, already there, not damage, or normal wear. Nothing goes into a report until you confirm it.
Is a Fair Charge range a quote?
No. It’s an estimate of a typical repair cost in your area, built from public wage and price data, with sources listed. It isn’t a quote and it isn’t legal advice.
Can someone check my report without the app?
Yes. The QR code on a Condition Record opens a verify page in any browser, with no account. It checks the signature, the file fingerprints and the timestamp itself. See what it checks.
What leaves my phone?
Scanning and comparison happen on your iPhone. The server gets the seal data for each scan, plus images only when you share a report or turn on backup. Details are in our privacy policy.
